Starbucks announces it's latest campaign with ads such as "Beware of a Cheaper Cup of Coffee. It Comes With a Price." and "Starbucks or Nothing. Because Compromise Leaves a Really Bad Aftertaste."

I'm wondering that in today's economy and with McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts competing with lower prices should Starbucks really be pushing their customers through advertising to be ok with paying more for a cup of coffee or should they just lower their prices to compete?
